Legal and Compliance Internship: Project Management Operations

The ASML Legal Operations and Strategy Execution Team is part of the global and fast‑growing Legal & Compliance (L&C) department. Our mission is to empower L&C to operate “like a business,” driving efficiency, enabling strategic execution, and fostering a strong team identity. We act as trusted advisors within the department, improving collaboration, processes, tools, and technology. This internship offers you the opportunity to contribute to a high‑impact team at the heart of ASML’s legal transformation.

Your assignment

As a Legal & Compliance intern, you’ll support the team in managing and coordinating strategic projects. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in project management within a global tech environment, helping translate strategy into action.

Key deliverables include:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Legal Operations and Strategy Execution Framework
• Support the translation of L&C strategy into achievable goals and measurable outcomes
• Help organize team events and meetings, ensuring smooth coordination
• Structure and monitor ongoing projects and activities within Legal Operations
• Track task execution and report on progress, delays, and dependencies
• Perform administrative tasks that support the team’s daily operations

This is a bachelor or master internship (non‑thesis) for a minimum of 7 months, 4–5 days per week (with at least 3 days on‑site). The start date is as soon as possible.

Your profile

• Are bachelor’s or master’s student in Law & Tech, Business Administration, or a related field
• Have strong organizational skills and can prioritize effectively under pressure
• Are analytical, structured, and comfortable working with data
• You have a strong affinity for technology, are analytically minded, and demonstrate critical thinking skills
• Communicate clearly in English, both written and verbally

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship
• Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular
• You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. If you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter must include the willingness to relocate
• If you are a non‑EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement)
